What to use against vine weevils and grubs?
Beneficial nematodes = entomopathogenic.

They are contained in the Larva Stoper product together with the carrier material.

Add to water when it is warm.

Directions

Apply by watering or spraying. Effectively controls larvae of various beetles, including the black vine weevil (Otiorhynchus sulcatus).

Natural and completely safe for plants, humans and animals.

Nematodes exist in soils worldwide, and the selected type feeds only on pests.

This product contains specially selected entomopathogenic nematodes that parasitize insects.

Beneficial nematodes usually do not survive winter, so the treatment should be repeated the following year if pests reappear.

Controls vine weevils, grubs, wireworms, flea beetles and moth caterpillars.

Mode of action

Nematodes penetrate the pest and release symbiotic bacteria. These bacteria transform larval tissue into food. The pest dies within hours or days, turns red or brown and decomposes quickly.

Application timing

Vine weevils: 2 applications per season, one in April or May and the second in August or September.
Grubs: 1 application in the second half of July. Repeat depending on species: garden chafer 1 year, June beetle 2 years, May beetle 3 years.

⚠️ Note: these dates are indicative. Best method is to monitor soil temperature (not below 12°C) and larval presence. If deeper than 40 cm, the product will not be effective.

In greenhouses, treatment may be required earlier because of a shorter life cycle.

Instructions

Remove sachet from packaging and leave for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Add the contents to 10 litres of water at 15–20°C.
Mix well, wait 5 minutes, then take 1 litre.
Dilute to 10 litres and treat 10 m².
Water afterwards to rinse down the nematodes.
Sprayer use is possible, remove filters smaller than 0.3 mm and keep pressure below 20 bar.

Storage

Store in refrigerator at 2–6°C.
Shelf life is about 6 weeks, see packaging.
Keep in original packaging, sealed and away from light.

Important 🌱

Optimal at 19–31°C.
Below 5°C or above 35°C less effective.
Apply to moist soil and keep moist for 2 weeks.
Do not apply in direct sun, best in evening or on cloudy days.
